That one would be relatively convenient for me and the family - easy enough drive for us (probably about the same distance as your trip!).

As far as gadgets go, of your list I'd say the one thing that could really help is a Powermeter. That isn't buying a few seconds of speed (which all the other things on the list do, and the speed increase is minimal) - if used properly, it'll truly help focus and therefore improve your training. The downside, of course, is that they are flipping expensive! I'm still a holdout on a PowerTap, but got the Kurt Kinetic power meter for use on the trainer, and it is SO much better than using HR for your training zones. It's only usable (as a PM, of course the other elements of the computer are universal) when you are on the trainer, but it's great for winter training. Big thumbs up.Michellehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12870268564888978646noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1344588851059336975.post-8290094254343022432010-12-14T17:48:12.306-05:002010-12-14T17:48:12.306-05:00Congrats, Barb and Jon -- big, scary, impressive d...Congrats, Barb and Jon -- big, scary, impressive decision!

You know I'd recommend Will Kirousis at Tri-Hard if you need recs for a coach -- he is a fabulous coach and an all-around nice guy!Hazelnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1344588851059336975.post-65665267802208047832010-12-14T09:48:56.984-05:002010-12-14T09:48:56.984-05:00Awesome!
